Deer River Community Gardens

In early 2022, Essentia Health granted $6,500 to Get Fit Itasca in support of the Deer River Community Garden. The community garden space aims to increase healthy food access and reduce social isolation. The funding was used to plant fruit trees, build raised garden beds and hang public art.
