What’s Pain Rehabilitation?
If medical treatments aren’t effective, your doctor may recommend learning how to manage chronic pain through exercises, therapies, and education. We'll work with you to develop an exercise program, learn new pain management skills, and understand how your brain and your feelings shape your experience of pain.
When to Seek Pain Rehabilitation
Managing pain can be a lifelong process, and you can depend on our team for guidance. Your doctor may recommend pain rehabilitation if:
- You have chronic pain that lasts more than three months
- Treatments like medications, injections, or surgery aren’t working well
- Pain interferes with your ability to do activities and affects your physical fitness
- You want to build new skills and you’re open to learning gentle exercises like yoga or pool therapy
What to Expect
At your first consultation, we will conduct a health assessment and review your medical history. Your provider will answer questions, make recommendations, and share information with your primary care doctor.
Team-Based Care
We will work with you and your doctor to create a personalized care plan. Your pain rehabilitation care team may include:
