Nurse Care Line

Our caring and knowledgeable nurses will listen to your concerns, answer your questions and provide guidance to help you make informed decisions about your medical treatment. They commonly speak with patients about illness and injuries ranging from colds and flu to strains and sprains.

The RN you speak with has access to your complete medical history through your Essentia electronic medical record. They are experienced in providing patient triage according to physician-approved protocols and they can readily consult with doctors from departments across Essentia Health.

Depending on the severity of your symptoms, your nurse may recommend you make an appointment with your primary care doctor. If you need immediate care, but your condition is not life-threatening, they may suggest you seek treatment at one of Essentia’s same-day care services.

If your nurse believes your condition could be life-threatening, they will direct you to seek care immediately by calling 911 or going to your nearest emergency room.
