If you have a cancerous tumor that cannot be safely removed using traditional surgery, rely on Essentia Health’s radiation oncologists to perform radiosurgery using CyberKnife® or Elekta Versa HD® technology. CyberKnife® is only available in Duluth, Minnesota and Elekta Versa HD® is only available in Fargo, North Dakota.

What's Radiosurgery?
Radiosurgery is a painless, non-invasive treatment option that uses very targeted beams of radiation to destroy both malignant and benign tumors.
When is Radiosurgery Used?
Radiosurgery is used when a tumor is located in a part of the body that is hard to reach or located in an area where traditional surgical methods may pose too much risk like the brain, spine, chest or abdomen. It is also used when a patient has other health conditions that make standard surgery too risky.
