Facility Overview

The Moose Lake Fitness Center offers members a great way to improve or maintain their fitness level. We are open with protocols designed to keep you and our staff safe. Our spacious facility features a variety of cardio and strength equipment, a free weight room, a classroom, a fitness room, large locker rooms, a bank of windows for natural light, wall-mounted televisions, and wireless audio capabilities.

Services

Look to our staff for fitness instruction or help measuring your progress. Need extra motivation? Try our group fitness classes or personal training services. 

  • Personal training - We offer one-time sessions to get you started or sign up for an ongoing program. We can help you find success in a healthy lifestyle. Cost of this service is $20 per half-hour or $40 per one-hour session and is available to both Fitness Center members and nonmembers. Call 218-485-5557 or 218-485-5582 for more information.
  • No-cost injury screening (by appointment) – get answers about a nagging strain or pain with your free injury screen through Essentia Health-Moose Lake Physical Therapy. Call 218-485-5597 to schedule your appointment. 
  • Group fitness classes - we offer classes for a range of skill levels and anyone can sign up.

    • Per session:  $5 member/$7 non-member per session + tax
    • Class package (10 classes):  $45 member/$65 non-member + tax
  • 30 Minute Classes (for members and non-members) 
    • Per session:  $4 + tax
    • Class package (10 classes):  $35 + tax
  • Yoga 
    • Per session:  $6 member/$8 non-member + tax
    • Class package (10 classes):  $55 member/$70 non-member + tax

Class Descriptions

  • Functional Fitness Chair:
    A low impact chair workout – this class provides balance and strength exercises with the use of dumbbells, resistance bands, and your own body weight. Chairs are used for seated and standing exercises. This class is great for seniors, but all ages are welcome.
  • Low Impact:
    Low-impact workout that includes cardio, strengthening, and balance exercises. Mats and a variety of weights such as kettle bells, medicine balls, dumbbells, etc. are used throughout the 45 minutes.
  • Soma Yoga:
    All skill levels are welcome. SomaYoga is gentle and therapeutic. You will learn relaxation techniques and classic asana poses while lengthening and strengthening your muscles. Additional benefits may include clarity of mind, increased range of motion, and an overall relaxed body. Available Props: mats, blocks, straps, and blankets.
  • Core N' More:
    Exactly what it sounds like – this class will focus primarily on your core, added with a few extra major muscle groups.
  • Women's Strength:
    Come join us for a class to learn the basics of strength training using free weights! Open to all women who are interested in building up the confidence to lift heavier in the gym. We will focus on increasing strength by implementing full body workouts at your own pace.
  • H.I.I.T:
    High Intensity Interval Training. You will be working at a high intensity for a short burst of time followed by an even shorter rest period. This workout will burn fat, get your heart rate up, and build strength. High intensity does not mean High Impact, every exercise will be 
    given a Low impact version. 
  • Tabata:
    Looking for a class that improves cardiovascular endurance, builds strength and burns fat? Tabata is a high intensity interval training workout designed to maximize results in a short amount of time. 
  • 30 Minute Total Body:
    A class that works every major muscle group. This class will work you from your shoulders to your calves, giving you a complete body workout in just 30 minutes.

We don’t believe in contracts that make you commit to a long-term relationship with your gym.

Membership Freeze

Freeze your membership for 1 to 6 months. if you're unable to use it. If you wish to freeze your membership, please call 218-485-5557 or stop by in-person by the 20th of the month for it to take effect the next month. These changes are not available through email.

Reimbursement Programs

Many health insurance plans offer a fitness reimbursement program. Several companies provide a $20 incentive for working out in a facility eight to 12 times a month. Contact your health insurance company to see if you have this benefit. If you do, let us know when you sign up for membership as we will waive your registration fee. The Center participates in many programs.
