Bio

Katie Casper, MD, is an obstetrician and gynecologist at Essentia Health. She cares for patients through many stages of life, from adolescence through menopause and beyond. Her clinical interests include minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, abnormal uterine bleeding, contraception, and both low-risk and high-risk pregnancy care. She also has a special interest in caring for underserved patients.

Dr. Casper works with patients to build care plans that fit their goals and needs. She takes time to listen, answer questions, and use evidence-based medicine in a way that is clear and personal. She wants patients to feel comfortable with their plan of care and to be active partners in decisions about their health.

A northern Minnesota native, Dr. Casper attended medical school at the University of Minnesota-Duluth. She completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Creighton University in Phoenix, where she served as chief resident. Outside of work, she enjoys time outdoors with her family.
