Erin Trisko, APRN, CNM, is an Advanced Practice RN and Certified Nurse Midwife who joined Essentia Health in September 2024.
Erin holds a Master of Nursing degree in Midwifery, a BSN in Nursing, and a bachelor’s degree in child psychology with a focus on speech-language sciences. Her role involves providing comprehensive care in both clinic and hospital settings, addressing OB and GYN concerns, supporting labor, delivering babies, and offering postpartum care to families.
Her approach to care is rooted in evidence-based practices and shared decision-making, ensuring patients feel supported, safe, and respected. She is certified in Spinning Babies, enhancing maternal comfort and fetal positioning, and has specialized training in gender-supporting care, menopause, perimenopause, and breastfeeding support. Additionally, she is a certified doula with extensive experience in labor support.
Erin is proud to be a member of the American College of Nurse Midwives and has been recognized with the "Excellence in Education" award.
Erin has also published a peer-reviewed journal article in the Journal of Midwifery and Women's Health.
Outside of work, she cherishes living in Duluth, MN, with her family, where she enjoys hiking, running, skiing, and swimming in the lake year-round. Her travels have taken her around the world, and she's passionate about engaging with community organizations that support the area.
