Emily Day, APRN, CNP, is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner with over 10 years of experience practicing Integrative/Functional Medicine. She got her training at Kansas University School of Nursing, graduating in 2012, and her certification through the Institute for Functional Medicine in 2019.
Like many providers in this field, Emily first got into Integrative and Functional Medicine through personal experience. She was drawn to searching for underlying causes of her health concerns, rather than masking symptoms with medications or simply chalking them up to “getting older”. As she saw her own health improve, she felt compelled to share this information with others and sought out ways to advance her training. Over the past 10 years, with the guidance from several mentors, her knowledge and experience grew in the realm of using nutrition and lifestyle to help patients. Her clinical practice includes a comprehensive, personalized approaches to a wide variety of chronic conditions from sleep difficulty to hormone imbalances, fatigue, digestive issues, and more. She is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, as well as the Institute for Functional Medicine.
When not in the office, you can find Emily spending time with her husband and two boys (ideally out in nature), getting exercise, or cooking delicious foods.
