Bio
Dr. Carlos Goulart, MD, was born and raised in Brazil, where he played professional soccer before pursuing a career in medicine. He completed his medical education and then moved to the United States for postgraduate training. Dr. Goulart began as a neurosurgery research fellow at Ohio State University, focusing on spine disorders and skull base neurosurgery, and completed a surgical internship.
Dr. Goulart went on to complete his neurosurgery residency at SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, NY, where he devoted elective time to complex spine surgery. During his residence, he received neurosurgery training at Boston Children’s Hospital.
Dr. Goulart is married and the father of two children. Outside of medicine, he enjoys traveling, cooking, and playing tennis and basketball.
Dr. Goulart is committed to delivering personalized neurosurgical care, utilizing minimally invasive spine techniques and advanced technologies to optimize outcomes and promote faster recovery.
